Friday, May 24, 9:00 pm – Campus Dance
- The Classics Department will host a table at the Campus Dance, so our students and their families will have an opportunity to mingle with their fellow graduates, some faculty, and alumni.
- We will be at Table MD-45
- There should be maps available when entering the dance, so everyone will be able to find the Classics table (we’ll be by the flagpole).
Saturday, May 25, 12:00 – 2:00 pm - Classics Commencement Reception
- Graduating students and their families are invited to the join the Classics Department for the Commencement Reception.
- Please note that Classics is the only concentration to host our reception on Saturday rather than Sunday following the diploma ceremony. We don’t want anyone to be confused by the university program.
- The reception will be held in the Mainelli Garden (behind Macfarlane House), at 48 College Street. The reception will end in time for students to march to Baccalaureate, if they choose to do so.
- Come join us for some refreshments and to celebrate with Classics faculty, graduate students, and your fellow graduating students!
Sunday, May 26, 2:30 pm (estimated time) – Classics Diploma Ceremony
- The Classics Diploma Ceremony will take place in Manning Chapel – Manning Hall, 21 Prospect Street, 2nd Floor.
- The Ceremony will begin immediately following the University Ceremony on the College Green, at approximately 2:30 pm.
- Students are welcome to bring as many family members and friends as they would like!
- There is no elevator in the building, so please have anyone needing to use the chair lift get to the building early.
You can find additional program details for the entire weekend on the Commencement website. Please feel free to reach out to Classics if you have any questions about our events.
Congratulations Class of 2019!
